What is the goal of ERGO? The primary goal of ERGO is to evaluate the impact of environmental chemical exposures, as well as lifestyle factors, on women's health during and after pregnancy. In addition, ERGO seeks to better understand early life chemical exposures as they relate to child health outcomes. By learning more about these factors, our goal is to improve maternal and child health.

Who is eligible? Pregnant women who are less than 15 weeks gestation and plan on delivering at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center or Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

What do I need to do if I am a participant? Participants will complete surveys about themselves and their health, provide samples during their standard clinical prenatal visits, and attend a one-time postpartum study visit.

Is there compensation? Participants can receive up to $130 in compensation for their time and participation in the study.
